First Ever Pagan Art Show a Success!

27 April 2010

I’m very pleased to report that Montreal’s first Pagan Art Exposition was a resounding success. During the two-hour Wine & Cheese, we received about 30 people and everyone was impressed with the quality of the artwork displayed. Over the next two days, there was a steady stream of visitors who enjoyed the art, chatted with the artists, and visited the vendors.

We had eight hanging artists (photography and paintings) and two display artists (jewelry and dolls), so I want to thank those artists for sharing their art work with us during this show. It was a first time event for the MPRC, so we appreciate their support and taking the risk. It think it worked out well for everyone!

The MPRC wants to especially thank Dave Mcleod for designing, erecting, and dismantling the supports for the paintings and photography. It was an impressive installation and held everything up well.

Also thanks to Lena, Vanessa, Scarlet, Rosanne, Billy, Kevin, Robyn, and Maery for their help in putting this event together. It was definitely a group effort and further proof that when a community pulls together, there’s nothing we can’t accomplish.

And before you ask, yes we are planning to have another Pagan Art Show in the spring of 2011. Stay tuned to the MPRC website for more information and we’ll see you there!

Welcome to the new MPRC site!
