Sponsorship

The MPRC Sponsorship Application Process is designed to offer financial support to those people who offer events or services to the pagan community that bring people together. Why should the organizers of these events bear the entire brunt of the financial risk? They have already committed their time and energy to the event for the benefit of the community, so it’s not fair that they also take an unsupported financial risk.

This page outline the process that will allow local (Montreal) pagans to apply for MPRC funding for a variety of events which can include (but are not limited to):

  • Public Rituals
  • Conferences
  • Lectures
  • Artistic endeavors
  • Community organizations

The Sponsorship Application year-end is October 31st. Therefore, for accounting reasons, the MPRC Sponsorship Application year runs from November 1st until October 31st.

The MPRC is committed to supporting local pagans in their community endeavors. A healthy community is only made stronger by the support of its members.

You can submit your application in person at the MPRC (1928 Ste. Catherine Street), or you can email it to us at mprccrpm@gmail.com.

If you have any questions or concerns about this service, or have suggestions on how to improve it, please contact us at mprccrpm@gmail.com.

Eligibility

Applicants must be Canadian citizens 18 years or older who live in the Montreal area (which can extend 50 kilometers beyond the physical limitations of the island of Montreal). Exceptions to this location delimitation can be made on a case-by-case basis.

All applicants must be vouched for by two people who can provide reference information (who are also 18 years of age or older). The MPRC board will validate all reference information on a case-by-case basis to determine if the applicant is trustworthy enough to be considered for the sponsorship application.

Review Process

Once an application is received, the MPRC Board must convene to analyze and discuss the application. References will be checked and presented to the Board. The applicant may be called upon to provide more information about the application. The application should be approved or rejected ONE MONTH after it has been received.

Not all applications will be approved in full. Because funds are limited, some applications may be awarded a partial sum, the full amount, or be rejected all together.

The MPRC is committed to supporting the members of the pagan community in any way that it can in addition to financial aid.

Even if an application is not approved for financial support, the MPRC can still be available to help with the event/activity by providing support, volunteers, networking, and advertising.

Transparency

The MPRC is committed to providing complete transparency on the events it supports and sponsors. Once the applicant provides the financials behind an event, we can provide the budget breakdown of that event upon request.
